A year ago, I started SquishyLady on social media. When I came up with the concept of Squishy over 5 years ago, I didn’t know what it would evolve in too. I didn’t know what I was doing or where this would all go, but I was inspired in the middle of the night and knew that I just needed to say ‘Yes’! I started on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; the only problem was I didn’t know anything about tweeting. I learned quickly that IG was not really my thing right now, but I was able to have a strong support and following on FB and I continue to learn about Twitter.

I can’t believe that night lead me to having daily information disseminated, my name becoming more known, identifying my targets, and having the next year mapped out in content. I have submitted to share this concept at the National Harm Reduction Conference and hope to be able to share my ideas on a national platform. I continue to seek help and my good friend Kristy Lin Billuni has mentored me, coached me to further clarity, and offered me unconditional support in growing this idea. As well, my entire community has shared, retweeted, and supported this dream I have to make #squishytalk a common reference in sexual health; 1:1 education, squishy coaching, patient education, staff development, or program planning.

As I move forward, I hope to continue to educate myself, promote #squishytalk more by putting myself out there, and streamlining the foundational blocks of this business. I hope to share my knowledge online, find more opportunities to be in the community, and gather auxiliary skills to enhance my work as the SquishyLady. I am grateful to you all and look forward to continuing this journey with you because I couldn’t do it without you. #squishytalk
